Year: 2023
Tasks: Concept, Design, UX, UI
Tools: Adobe XD, Illustrator
Project Overview
Lantal is an award-winning textile company from Switzerland. Their dedication to combine innovation and tradition has solidified their position as one of the world's leading high-quality Swiss-made textile manufacturers for transportation services. As their award-winning brand continued to evolve, their website needed a to do so, too. They sought a new, elegant appearance for their website, with enhanced user–friendly elements, interactive features, micro-animations, and simplified content. After several months of teamwork, we proudly launched their brand-new website, focusing on their core business: Lantal Aviation Interiors.
My Contributions
Lantal’s focus is on interiors that move people – physically and emotionally. As manufacturers and refiner of premium textiles for aircrafts, buses, or even trains, and a provider of many useful services their mission is to do everything it takes for travelers to feel at ease en route. Their commitment to combine innovation and tradition has positioned them as Switzerland's foremost high-quality Swiss-made textile manufacturer. With hubs, sales offices, and representatives spanning all over the world, they’ve established themselves as one of the most recognised brands on a global scale.
Lantal’s vision
First goal
We came in contact having a clear vision and clear goals in mind. The new website had to showcase the updated corporate design in a modern, light, elegant manner. Lantal's core principles had to shine through: top-notch quality, innovative design, tradition, and Swissness. The website not only serves as a fresh business card for Lantal but also acts as a touchpoint for potential new employees. It must be Elegant, and Emotional, working a lot with images and videos of the manufacturing. It must exude elegance and evoke emotions, with a lot of images and videos showcasing the manufacturing processes.
A lighter look
Second goal
The first requirement was to shorten and simplify the whole content. The old website mixed the textiles of all the transportation, causing the website to be really packed, with dark colours, and not having enough space to really concentrate on the beautiful detailed images of the handmade textiles. The goals was for the new Lantal website to only showcase the textiles for Aviation, their main product now, and to put the focus on images, and less on text. So that’s what we did.We created a spacious, light design that represented the Swiss quality, and did not take away from the beautiful, delicate textiles presented.
Cleaner content and CRM
Third goal
The biggest challenge of the relaunch was tidying up all the old content on the website, making it as user friendly as possible for everybody involved in the project. This meant close discourse with the client and their internal project manager, to find what is most useful for them to be able to manage the website on their own once the project was over.
